In February 2014, five people from Mountain View UMC in Cottonwood, Arizona dedicated themselves to The Gathering. An hour on Sunday mornings from 9-10 AM at the Old Town Mission, this gathering is for those who are homeless, struggling to be part of society, and those who have had bad experiences with the organized church. Coffee and donuts are served, while we have a Jesus talk.
Henderson Impact united 850 volunteers in Henderson, Kentucky to gather food donations for local food banks as well as to pack 186,000 meals to be distributed to 70 countries around the world through the Feed My Starving Children organization.
