Lay Servant Training 05/2022 – St. Mark’s UMC, Tucson, AZ

Leading Public Prayer – Praying in public can be daunting, but prayer is something one learns. This course on praying in public will help the participant grow in confidence and skill in public prayer and enrich their personal prayer life. This is a required course towards certification as a Certified Lay Speaker. Participant textbook: Shaping the Prayers of the People: The Art of Intercession by Samuel Wells and Abigail Kocher.
The course is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and May 14 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. (you will need to commit to both sessions)
Participants are responsible for purchasing and reading the text in advance of the course. Participant textbooks are available from Cokesbury and Amazon. If you have any questions contact Gretchen Lofgren, glofgren22@gmail.com.
