The Abundant Church Model: Unlocking the Social Capital (what you know and who you know) in Your Church
- Are our beliefs about scarcity stronger than our beliefs about God’s abundance?
- Is it possible there is never enough of what people in our communities need to develop the lives they envision for themselves and their children because we have convinced ourselves that there will always be a scarcity of what they need? Do our own beliefs about the limitation of resources limit the vision of our churches?
- Are we looking in all the wrong places for the resources Jesus revealed that can transform the world?
In our own lives we have years of learning how to give and receive community; we are a personal vault of social, job and life skills and build thousands of community social connections. The resources to support the changes and transformations in people, our neighborhoods and our communities are the same resources, given by others, that they transformed our own lives.
Come and learn how your church can assemble its abundance and invest it in human, neighborhood and community transformation through a local church ministry called “Network Table ™”. The Abundant Church is a Movement being pioneered in the North District with Open Table, an organization started by members of a Methodist Church and that is a recognized national expert in the understanding and application of social capital (who and what people know) as a tool to solve daunting social challenges.
