Founded in 2006, Justa Center is a day resource center for seniors aged 55 and older who are homeless in the metro Phoenix area. Of the roughly 130 people they see every day, nearly 50 percent of them are veterans, 42 percent of whom are women. The mission of Justa Center is the transformation of the lives of all individuals with whom they come into contact.

Recently, I was standing in line at a local business, when a conversation ensued between myself and another person, whose shirt had the following statement…“God’s Got Me.”
“God’s Got Me” probably has many meanings, so I’ll just leave that alone for now.

Annual Conference is officially over and the work for the next year begins. At the closing worship service we affirmed the work of the Initiative on Growth and Vitality as we adopted our Conference Vision Statement. If you weren’t at Conference, let me share the vision statement with you now.

If you plan to attend the Desert Southwest Annual Conference and have not yet registered please do so by Thursday, June 8, 2017. Take some time and register online before you arrive. The registration process has changed this year and on site registration will be more challenging than in previous years.

The Districts of the Desert Southwest Conference are looking for people to be District At Large Members to Annual Conference Thursday, June 15 – Sunday, June 18. This year’s event will be at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa, 9495 W Coyotes Blvd, Glendale, AZ 85305. Deadline to submit a nomination is Wednesday, April 19.
