Status and Role of Women

Status and Role of Women

The Status and Role of Women committee advocates for full participation of women in the total life of the Desert Southwest Conference and The United Methodist Church. We help the church recognize every person – clergy and lay, women and men, adults and children - as full and equal parts of God's human family.

Hispanic Latino Ministry

Hispanic Latino Ministry

Hispanic Latino Ministry serves the purpose of supporting the development, implementation, and assessment of a plan of action to develop fruitful Hispanic Latino disciples in our communities. Our main goals include strengthening existing ministries, starting new congregations and ministries, and identifying, equipping, and deploying local pastors, lay missioners, lay certified ministers, and other individuals who can serve this mission and ministry. All part of our mission to strengthen God's lesson of grace and equality, by giving Hispanic Latino ministries the tools they need to be spiritual leaders in the community.

supplementation; (c) providing guidance for superintendents and committees on pastor/parish relations, and (d) submitting an arrearage policy for the conference. We undergird all areas of the DSC Strategic Direction.
