Bishops call for cease-fire in Gaza

The United Methodist Council of Bishops on March 13 called for a cease-fire in the conflict between Hamas and Israel in Gaza and pledged its prayers and commitment to work for a durable peace for Israelis, Palestinians and all in the region. “The lack of a true cease-fire after more than five months of this deadly conflict compels us to raise our voices now,” the bishops said in their statement.
