First UMC, 331 S. Cooper Rd., Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking a part-time Financial Secretary for the church who will work approximately 8 hours per week on average. The Financial Secretary maintains the church’s computerized system for individual giving records, posting weekly contributions received. He or she also records all other payments received and prepares a weekly deposit report. The Financial Secretary produces quarterly giving statements to donors and is charged with maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality. The Financial Secretary also manages the scheduling of all the counters.
Candidates are encouraged to apply who have a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and/or some accounting or banking experience. Familiarity with giving-record software is a plus as is intermediate Excel knowledge.
